The city simulation that put Maxis on the map ranks with Pac-Man and Tetris as one of the greatest games of all time, so certainly the Electronic Arts-acquired developer had big shoes to fill, not to mention a big publisher breathing down its back, while working on the second sequel. Now that the dust has settled, either against all odds or to no great surprise, SimCity 3000 is fun, thoughtful, and satisfying, not to mention pristine and pleasant to the core. Soft, bright colors, an attractive and intuitive interface, and stylized comic characters all fit together with an easy-listening soundtrack to make SimCity 3000 a comfortable, relaxing place to be. Your city exists in an eternal springtime; no matter how bad things get for your upstart town, at least it won't rain.
The graphics not only look good, but they tell you everything you'd want to know: You can see how well a developed area is doing at a glance, as buildings that look expensive probably are, and those that are ramshackle and sparse are probably worth a lot less. The graphics are much more detailed than SimCity 2000's, but only along the same lines - that is, you can zoom in closer than ever before, down where you can see individual pedestrians and automobiles, and everything looks real.

Ghost Hunt follows the ghost hunting adventures of Mai Taniyama, a first year high school student, who becomes involved with the Shibuya Psychic Research Center (SPR) and its young manager, Kazuya Shibuya. Mai nicknames Kazuya Shibuya "Naru" because of his narcissistic attitude, and the nickname is generally adopted by all those who come to eventually work with SPR: a Buddhist monk, Houshou Takigawa; a shrine maiden, Ayako Matsuzaki; a famous psychic, Masako Hara; and Catholic Priest, John Brown.
Ghost Hunt also explores the paranormal abilities of the characters, particularly focusing on Mai's "latent psychic abilities," demonstrated by her dreaming about information relevant to their cases. She is often joined in her dreams by someone who she assumes to be Naru acting as a spirit guide, but whom is later revealed to be someone quite unexpected.

In the past, police have discovered that a gun that was used in several murder cases had a "curse" to it, and whoever wields the said weapon is unable to hold back any wild or dangerous intentions, which usually end up with someone getting hurt. With this as the root of the story, there comes Yuu Asakura, a student at a university. One fateful day, he rushes at a train station, when he accidentally bumps into a man with a briefcase. Unintentionally, Yuu and the man swapped their briefcases (which appear fairly similar in color and design) as he runs for the train. Just as the doors behind him close, the man he bumped into earlier stood beyond the door and raised the briefcase that was supposedly his to show it to him. However it was already too late and the train has already started moving.

The story of Fate/stay night revolves around the main protagonist Shirō Emiya, a young male high school student. When Shirō was a child, his father told him how he had failed at his life ambition to become a "Hero of Justice". Shirō affirms to his foster father that he intends to devote his life to achieving that distant ideal, much to Kiritsugu's chagrin. To do this, Shirō pleads with a begrudging Kiritsugu to teach him sorcery; but being born without the capabilities of a magus, Shirō proves to be talentless in almost all the fundamental sorcerous disciplines.When the story begins, Fuyuki City is the setting for a secret and violent war among competing magi. For the past two centuries, seven sorcerers have gathered and engage in a Battle Royale, each gambling his or her own life to obtain the Holy Grail, a legendary chalice capable of granting wishes. The past four Holy Grail Wars have typically occurred every sixty years, with the most recent concluding a decade ago, but the fifth war has started prematurely.
Each of the sorcerers, better known as Masters, is aided by one of the seven summoned spiritual familiars known as Servants, who are the reincarnations of legendary souls from all across time. These resurrected souls possess superhuman characteristics and wield powerful artifacts or abilities called Noble Phantasms. Only one Servant can be summoned in each war from one of seven classes: Saber, Archer, Lancer, Berserker, Rider, Assassin, and Caster.
After cleaning his school's kyūdō dojo late one night, Shirō stumbles upon two Servants, Archer and Lancer, battling in the school courtyard. To avoid compromising the war's secrecy, Lancer hunts down and pierces Shirō's heart with his Noble Phantasm Spear. Shirō is then discovered near death by Rin Tōsaka and because of his relationship with her sister Sakura Matō, she uses an heirloom filled with concentrated magic, Mana, to restore his damaged heart and leaves before he awakens. Shaken and dazed, Shirō picks up the heirloom and returns home only to be assaulted a second time by Lancer. Shirō weakly defends himself against Lancer using posters he turns to metal with magic reinforcment, but is soon overwhelmed by the powerful Servant's attack, and is sent flying into his shed. Cornered, Shirō prepares for the worst; but before Lancer can inflict another fatal blow, a magical mark on Shirō's hand begins to light up and a summoning circle used previously by his foster father inside the shed begins to glow. A young woman clad in armor with an invisible sword is summoned and blocks Lancer's attack. After driving Lancer away from Shirō, she introduces herself as "Servant Saber".

The abduction of Kotaro, by one of the Kowloon Children, thrusts him even further into the battle.
